Specimen Requirements
Collection Instructions
Collect specimen in lavender top (EDTA) tube. Do not spin, send as whole blood to Specimen Processing at ambient temperature. If shipping to Viracor is delayed, and specimen will not be there within 96 hours, specimen can be frozen as whole blood, in the original tube.
Special Handling
If specimen will not arrive at Viracor within 96 hours, specimen must be frozen as whole blood in the original tube
